Be Thankful

Dear Child:

Know that I LORD, I Am God; It is I who has made you, and not you yourselves; you are My people and the sheep of My pasture. Enter into My gates with thanksgiving, and into My courts with praise. Be thankful to Me, and bless My name. For the I, LORD am good; My mercy is everlasting, And My truth endures to all generations. (Psalm 100:3-5)

For since the creation of the world My invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even My eternal power and Godhead, so that people are without excuse, because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Me as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools, and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man—and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things. Therefore I also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen. (1:20-25) yet for you there is one God, I, the Father, of whom are all things, and you for Me; and one Lord Jesus Christ, through whom are all things, and through whom you live.

Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to Me; and My peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:5-7) Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving. (Colossians 4:2)

If you, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will I, your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Me! (Matthew 7:11) Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from Me, your Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning. (James 1:17) I Am The LORD, the LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abounding in goodness and truth, keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, by no means clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children and the children’s children to the third and the fourth generation. (Exodus 34:6-7)

Oh, that men would give thanks to the LORD for My goodness, and for My wonderful works to the children of men! For I satisfy the longing soul, and fills the hungry soul with goodness. Those who sat in darkness and in the shadow of death, Bound in affliction and irons—Because they rebelled against the words of God, and despised the counsel of the Most High, Therefore He brought down their heart with labor; They fell down, and there was none to help. Then they cried out to the Me, the LORD in their trouble, And I saved them out of their distresses. I brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, And broke their chains in pieces. Oh, that men would give thanks to Me, the LORD for My goodness, and for My wonderful works to the children of men!

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. I will be found by you, says the LORD, and I will bring you back from your captivity.

For this reason also thank Me without ceasing, because when you received the word of God which you heard, you welcomed it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, My word, which also effectively works in you who believe. (1 Thessalonians 2:13) Give thanks to the LORD, for I am good! For My mercy endures forever. (Psalm 107:1)
Offer to Me thanksgiving, And pay your vows to the Most High. (Psalm 50:14) Come before My presence with thanksgiving; Shout joyfully to Me with psalms. (Psalm 95:2)

But above all put on love, which is the bond of perfection. And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord (Colossians 3:14-16)

“Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom,
Thanksgiving and honor and power and might,
Be to your God forever and ever.
      Amen.” (Revelation 7:12)

Love God
